Our small-but-mighty 4-person team is passionate about creating the finest natural ales using local ingredients wherever possible.
Brewmaster: Murray Hunter
- Has been brewing professionally since 1996
- Has won the honorable distinction of several awards, including two Gold medals at the Canadian Brewing Awards and ‘Best in Class’ for our Golden Ale in 2004 – making him the brewer of Canada’s best cream ale.
- Plays concert-level trumpet in several big band, jazz and orchestral ensembles
- Makes incredible Porter Pancakes. See recipe!
Co-Owners: Becky Julseth & Neil Cooke-Dallin
- Neil manages Brewery sales and operations. He also plays guitar and runs a recording studio. Brewmaster Murray Hunter plays trumpet on Neil’s band’s forthcoming album.
- Becky manages marketing, administration and works with our Hops and Heather farmers. Becky is also a proud member of the Pink Boots Society (for women in brewing).

Brewery Technician: Stephen Miles
- Steve manages numerous production jobs in the brewery, including all bottling and packaging.
Friendly Voice: Shellie Barrett
You may also know the voice of our neighbour down the street, Shellie, who stops by on Tuesdays to call our customers and touch base. |
